About New Student Orientation
The mission of New Student Orientation is to create a positive educational and personal experience for new University of Alberta students.
The program eases the transition to university life by delivering important content through presentations, activities, and campus tours. While attending New Student Orientation, you will be able to pickup your ONEcard (your student ID). New Student Orientation creates connections between new students, as well as to upper year student leaders. Ultimately, the program will successfully aid in the transition of new students into university life and integrate them into the University of Alberta campus.
At NSO, you will be in a group of fellow incoming students in your faculty, led by two upper year students who will be your guides for the day. Connect with your classmates, find your classes before the first day, and ask us anything and everything!
New Student Orientation is part of your orientation experience here at the University of Alberta. To learn more about all programs, please visit uab.ca/orientation.
